ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Tippin being absent) acknowledged the <br />semi-annual review of the bonds for each <br />commissioner and Constitutional Officer. <br />H. 4th Street Sidewalk Right -of -Way Accruisition - Mr. & Mrs. <br />George Yates <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 6/21/93: <br />TO: James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />THROUGH: James W. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works DirectorlD <br />FROM: Donald G. Finney, SRA <br />County Right of Way Agent <br />SUBJECT: 4th Street Sidewalk Right -of -Way Acquisition <br />DATE: June 21, 1993 FILE: 4ROW.AGN <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Mr. & Mrs. George Yates have agreed to sell to the County an <br />additional parcel of land 10 feet by 150 feet along 4th Street just <br />west of 27th Avenue. This right-of-way is needed to connect the <br />alignment of the sidewalk away from the curb at a section of <br />sidewalk along the north side of 4th Street. The property owners <br />have agreed to sell the land for $750 as they previously sold a 101 <br />parcel to the county for $750. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The Board of County Commissioners previously approved purchases at <br />$75.0 for each parcel from the adjoining Blair and Liscomb and Beath <br />properties to extend the sidewalk. The alternatives are as <br />follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Approve the additional right-of-way acquisition at a cost of <br />$750. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Not approve the purchase and not proceed with the sidewalk <br />completion. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Alternative No. 1 is recommended.
