She pointed out that the County <br />commission has responded very quickly to various concerns that the <br />City has expressed, and Councilwoman Ginn explained that is why she <br />and Councilman Jack Grossett are here today. <br />Chairman Bird suggested that we request the County Attorney to <br />research whether the County has any standing here or any ability to <br />seek a court injunction to stop this project in its tracks so that <br />health and public safety issues can be addressed. <br />Attorney Vitunac advised that he would research all <br />possibilities. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Tippin being absent) directed the <br />County Attorney to see if the County has standing in <br />this matter to seek a court injunction to halt the <br />placement of these utility poles until the health <br />and safety concerns are addressed; and, if it is <br />found that the County does not have standing, the <br />County Attorney is to see if there are other ways <br />that we could help and offer that assistance to the <br />homeowners' group and their attorney, Bruce Barkett. <br />In addition, the Board directed staff to see what <br />can be done about putting something in our <br />ordinances that might increase distance from poles <br />to property owners. <br />I <br />SCHEDULE TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS TO CONSIDER LDR CHANGES <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 6/24/93: <br />TO: James E.
