"SONNY" DEANt DI%C�TJOR <br />S <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL S S <br />SUBJECT: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COURTHOUSE PROJECT <br />CHANGE ORDER NUMBER 3 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />This Change Order was generated to allow for a deduction to the <br />contract. It covers an amount of direct purchases for materials and <br />equipment made by the County in order to take advantage of not <br />being required to paying sales tax. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />A total of 41,236,669.00 was paid to vendors for the materials and <br />equipment. This equates to a savings on sales tax of $69,639.49 to <br />the County. The new contracted price for the project is now reduced <br />to $11,125,371.00. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends Board approval of this Change Order as presented and <br />authorization for the Chairman to execute all documents. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, -SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously <br />authorized Change Order No. 3 with James A. <br />Cummings, Inc., reducing the total contract price to <br />$11,125,371.00, as set forth in the above staff's <br />recommendation. <br />CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 IS ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />16 <br />
