J U L <br />U1. <br />8 9 0 3 <br />Steve DePlessis, 545 35th Avenue, and Dee Puffer, 475 35th <br />Avenue, distributed the following information to the Board: <br />The purpose for this hearing is to inform the county <br />commissioners that the residents of 35th Avenue feel it is <br />unjust to be charged for the'expenses incurred by the <br />replacement of driveway aprOTis and sod during the <br />installation of county water pipes. As residents, we were <br />already charged for the aprons and sod when the road was <br />paved. We believe it is a flagrant violation of justice to <br />charge us again for these ex�enses. This is our chief <br />complaint, but below are othir grievances we have experienced <br />during the construction on oUr street: <br />1. In the past few <br />weeks * , the small amount of rain we have had has stayed <br />in the swells. <br />7. We are concerned whether the properties will be torn up <br />again in a few years for the installation of sewer lines. <br />Mr. DePlessis distributed photographs of 35th Avenue and two <br />small plastic bags of fill dirt. He explained that the first bag <br />contains a sample of the good fill dirt that the contractor removed <br />and hauled away. The second bag contains a sample of the gravel, <br />sand, shell, and pieces of broken concrete and asphalt that the <br />19 <br />
