US -91 -21 -CS AND US -92 -24 -CS <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The construction of master planned water lines to both the North <br />County schools and the I-95/County Road 512 interchange are now <br />complete. We are therefore coming to the Board of County <br />Commissioners for approval of the final pay request and final change <br />order. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />The original contract, i.e., North County Schools Water, was in the <br />amount of $1,734,267.36. Several change orders were approved in <br />January 1993 in the amount of $435,743.02 for the continued <br />construction of the water line on County Road 512 to serve the <br />commercial area at I-95. Approval of this change order raised the <br />total contract amount to $2,170,010.38; with the approval of this <br />final Change Order No. 3, the final contract price will be <br />$2,128,563.31, for a total contract reduction of $41,447.07. (See <br />attached pay request and change order.) <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve both the final pay request and <br />Change Order No. 3 with Boyce Company, as presented. <br />44 <br />
