"D TER, <br />AND STAFFED ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES - <br />SUBJECT: WATER EXPANSION PLAN, PHASE II, CONTRACT "C" <br />IRC PROJECT NO. UW -91 -14 -DS <br />Construction of the subject project has been completed, and Department <br />of Environmental Protection (DEP) clearance has been requested. The <br />Contractor, Tri -Sure Corporation of Auburndale, Florida, is requesting <br />final payment. <br />ANALYSIS <br />On December 8, 1992, the Board of County Commissioners approved the <br />Water Expansion. Plan, Phase II, in the amount of $2,166,044.27; the <br />estimate for Contract "C" was $434,706.88. The total construction cost <br />of Contract "C" is $299,374.50, including Change Order No. 1. <br />The original contract cost was $285,927.40; the change order increases <br />the contract amount by $13,447.10 to a total of $299,374.50. The <br />change order reflects required adjustments made in the field. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The contractor has been paid $198,668.70 to date. The staff of the <br />Department of Utility Services recommends approval of the attached <br />Change Order No. 1 and of the final pay request in the amount of <br />$100,705.80 as payment in full for services rendered. <br />32 <br />
