QUIT CLAIM DEED TO MR. AND MRS. BOWER <br />Chairman Bird announced that he had a conflict of interest on <br />this item as his real estate company is involved in the sale of <br />this property and that he would file the appropriate form. He <br />turned the meeting over to Vice Chairman Tippin and left the <br />Chambers. <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST FORM 8B IS ON FILE IN <br />THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 8/16/93: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners y6 <br />FROM: Terrence P. O'Brien, Assistant County Attorney <br />DATE: August 16, 1993 <br />RE: QUIT CLAIM DEED TO MR. AND MRS. BOWER <br />The Commission approved the sale and had executed a County deed to <br />Mr. and Mrs. Bower of one-half of the Lot 13, Block 18 of Vero Beach <br />Estate on March 2, 1993. Mr. and Mrs. Bower are in the process of <br />selling their residence and this adjoining half lot. The title company <br />for reasons best known to them has asked that a new County deed be <br />Issued and that the City of Vero Beach also quit claim any rights it <br />may have. <br />The City of Vero Beach is in the process of approving such a deed. <br />Council action should take place on the evening of August 17, 1993. <br />Staff recommends that this second County deed be adopted and the <br />Chairman authorized to execute the deed with a date of August 18, <br />1993. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Chairman Bird having temporarily left the room) <br />adopted the second County deed to Mr. and Mrs. <br />Bower, as recommended by staff. <br />COPY OF DEED IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />Chairman Bird returned to Chambers and took over the meeting <br />from Vice Chairman Tippin. <br />65 <br />AUG 171993 BOOK 90 u,F. 257 <br />
