Occupational Licenses Collected During Month of July, 1993 <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 8/2/93: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Karl Zimmermann, Tax Collector <br />SUBJECT: Occupational Licenses <br />DATE: August 2, 1993 <br />Pursuant to Indian River County Ordinance No. 86-59, please be <br />informed that $1,707.88 was collected in occupational license taxes <br />during the month of July, representing the issuance of 139 licenses. <br />�:_i_ <br />Z <br />Tax Co <br />ctor <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously accepted <br />the Occupational Licenses report for the month of <br />July, 1993. <br />E. Transfer Approval <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 8/10/93: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: August 10, 1993 <br />SUBJECT: Transfer Approval <br />FROM: Richard E. Watkins, Finance Director <br />The Sheriff's Department has requested that the monthly draw <br />( approximately 1/12 of the annual budget transfer from the BCC) for <br />the Sheriff's Department be transferred from the Board of County <br />Commissioners account at First Union to the Sheriff's account at <br />First Union via a debit/credit transfer. Currently the funds are <br />transmitted by check sent through interoffice mail. First Union <br />has responded to our inquiry (see enclosed correspondence) <br />approving the process and has requested evidence of approval by <br />signature of the Board of County Commissioners... <br />The major advantage to this action is eliminating the unpredictable <br />float time of this check. The monthly check to the Sheriff's <br />'__--Department is in excess of $1,300,000.00. By maximizing the <br />4 <br />
