White <br />Executive Aide to Board <br />RE: Disney project <br />DATE: September 3, 1993 <br />Since the May, 1993 LDR hearing, the Board has received the <br />following number -of letters regarding the Disney project. <br />FOR AGAINST AGAINST ICONS <br />2 3 6 <br />Many of the .people who wrote regarding the LDR amendments <br />specified that they did not want railroad cars at the Disney <br />entrance. <br />Piper Aircraft employees submitted a copy of petitions with 214 <br />names asking that a 3 night minimum stay not be implemented for <br />the Disney Resort. <br />Also attached' is a sample letter that was sent _by 204 Piper <br />employees. <br />We also received other petitions in support of the Disney project <br />which contained 65 names. <br />The Clerk to the Board acknowledged receipt of the following <br />Petition with 65 signatures attached: <br />PETITION <br />To: Indian River County Commission <br />The undersigned citizens of Indian River County support the <br />Disney resort project which will bring business and jobs to our <br />county. We urge the -Commission to assist the project in every <br />way possible. <br />The Clerk to the Board acknowledged receipt of 204 signed <br />copies of the following letter: <br />44 <br />
