Award the bid as follows: <br />ZONE A .... Low Bidder .... Blackhawk Quarry, Palm Bay, F1 <br />ZONE B .... Low Bidder.... Stewart Industries, Ft. Pierce <br />Zone C ... Low Bidder.... Stewart Industries, Ft. Pierce <br />Pick -Up. .:Multiple Award to both Blackhawk Quarry and <br />Stewart Industries based on the formula of <br />$.13/mile/ton as stated in the Invitation to Bid. <br />2. Establish an Open End Contract with both Blackhawk <br />Quarry and Stewart Industries. Last year expenditures <br />for Limerock Base totaled $125,000.00. <br />3. Authorize the Purchasing Manager to renew this contract <br />subject to satisfactory performance, zero cost <br />increase, vendor acceptance, and the determination that <br />renewal is in the best interest of the County. <br />Commissioner Adams inquired about the bidding process on the <br />type of bids in Items F, G, H, I, and J, and Administrator Chandler <br />explained that these are actually annual contracts which permit us <br />to renew them on an annual basis if there are no changes in <br />conditions and performance or any increases in costs. We go back <br />out to bid on these items if conditions warrant it and the bid is <br />brought to the Board for approval. <br />8 <br />
