MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Macht to authorize staff to solicit <br />bids from property appraisal firms on the LAAO <br />Appraisers Master List for an appraisal of the <br />Korangy LAAC site, as recommended by staff. <br />Under discussion, Roland DeBlois, chief of environmental <br />planning, confirmed that staff will have this appraisal performed <br />as soon as possible. <br />VICE CHAIRMAN TIPPIN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously (4-0, Commissioner <br />Bird having left the meeting). <br />MEMORANDUM OF VOTING CONFLICT IS ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />Chairman Bird returned to Chambers and retook the gavel. <br />APPROVAL OF FY 93-94 EMS COUNTY AWARDS GRANT <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated September 15, <br />1993: <br />TO: Board' -of County Commissioners <br />THROUGH: James Chandler <br />County Admiaistkator <br />FROM: Doug Wright r Director <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: September 15, 1993 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of FY 93-94 EMS County Awards Grant <br />It is respectfully requested the information contained herein be <br />given formal consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at <br />the next scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, Office of <br />Emergency Medical Services (EMS), is authorized by Chapter 401, <br />Part II, Florida Statutes, to distribute county grant funds. The <br />funds are then made available to eligible county governments to <br />improve and expand their prehospital Emergency Medical Services. <br />The grant program is an innovative process which enables EMS <br />agencies to enhance EMS systems through the Board of County <br />Commissioners.
