Authorization for the Department of Utility Services to <br />negotiate with Speegle Contracting, Inc., Cocoa, Florida, <br />for a change order to the existing contract. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Tippin, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />Addendum No. 1, Work Authorization No. 2 to the <br />agreement with Professional Engineering Consultants, <br />Inc., at a total cost of $18,616.00, and authorized <br />staff to negotiate with Speegle Contracting, Inc., <br />for a change order to the original contract, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />WORK AUTHORIZATION NO. 2, ADDENDUM NO. 1 <br />IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />DISCUSSION OF KIMBALL -LLOYD SITUATION <br />Utility Services Director Terry Pinto announced, with regret, <br />that Kimball -Lloyd notified Utilities Department staff that they <br />are no longer doing business in Indian River County. The company <br />will continue with its obligations up to the first of December and <br />then transfer projects which have not been started to other <br />engineering firms on our list. Kimball -Lloyd will continue with <br />projects that are already under way until it becomes feasible to <br />transfer them to another engineering firm for completion. <br />Administrator Chandler commented that the Public Works and <br />Engineering Departments also have pending contracts with Kimball - <br />Lloyd. <br />TREASURE COAST COUNCIL OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS 1993 LEGISLATIVE ISSUES <br />Vice Chairman Tippin announced that the Treasure Coast Council <br />of Local Governments (TCCLG) is requesting that we endorse their <br />list of 10 issues to be forwarded to the Legislative Delegation: <br />LIST OF LEGISLATIVE ISSUES IN PRIORITY ORDER <br />1993 <br />1.
