Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Florida Recreational Development Assistance <br />Program Grant Resolution - Donald MacDonald <br />Park <br />DATE: September 7, 1993 FILE: dmdgrant.agn <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The County Public Works Department has prepared a grant application <br />for a $50,000 state grant to improve the boating, waterfront, and <br />nature walk facilities at Donald MacDonald Park. No matching <br />county funds are proposed, since grants $50,000 and less do not <br />require matching funds. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the grant resolution be approved and <br />authorization be given to transmit the application to the Florida <br />DEP. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 93-179 requesting financial assistance <br />from the Department of Environmental Protection for <br />the development of Donald MacDonald Park, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93 - 179 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, REQUESTING <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL <br />PROTECTION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF <br />DONALD MACDONALD PARK <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County, Florida, has prepared a grant <br />application for the development of Donald MacDonald Park under the <br />Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program; and <br />WHEREAS, it is a requirement of the program that this <br />Resolution be adopted and become an official part of the <br />application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT: <br />44 <br />
