4. POWERS AND DUTIES. <br />The Indian River County Agriculture Advisory Committee shall <br />have the power and duty to: <br />(a) consider and study the entire field of agriculture <br />including agricultural economic development with the main <br />focus being agriculture within Indian River County; <br />(b) advise the Board of County Commissioners at their <br />request or upon its own initiative, regarding the <br />promulgation, administration, and enforcement of all laws, <br />ordinances, and rules relating to agriculture; <br />(c) consider all matters submitted to it by the Board of <br />County Commissioners; and <br />(d) submit proposed legislation, ordinances and rules to <br />the Board of County Commissioners. <br />5. AGRICULTURE. For the purpose of this Commission the <br />term agriculture shall mean: <br />The science and art of production of plants and <br />animals useful to man, including to a variable extent, the <br />preparation of these products for man's use and their <br />disposal by marketing or otherwise and shall include <br />horticulture, floricultiure, viticulture, forestry, dairy, <br />livestock, poultry, bees and any and all forms of farm <br />products and farm production. <br />6. ADVISORY STATUS. <br />The Agricultural Advisory Committee shall be advisory only and <br />the members shall serve without compensation. <br />7. GENERAL PROVISIONS. <br />The provisions of Title 1, Chapter 103, relating to advisory <br />boards and commissions shall apply to this committee. <br />The resolution was moved to adoption by Commissioner <br />Eggert and the motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Md c h t , and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as <br />follows: <br />Commissioner Richard N.
