PROFESSIONAL CIVIL ENGINEERING AGREEMENT - AMENDMENT NO. 2 - BARBER <br />AVENUE (37TH STREET) WIDENING <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated October 8, 1993: <br />TO: James Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH: James W. O<� <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Amendment No. 2 <br />Professional Civil Engineering Agreement <br />Barber Avenue (37th Street) Widening <br />DATE: October 8, 1993 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />H.F. Lenz Company is under contract with Indian River County to provide <br />professional services in the design of drainage improvements and widening <br />of Barber Avenue from U.S. 1 to Indian River Boulevard. <br />The attached amendment provides for intersection improvements on 10th <br />Court. These improvements are needed to accommodate the traffic signal <br />that is being designed and installed by Indian River Memorial Hospital. <br />This traffic signal is warranted and the installation cost will be paid <br />for by the hospital. <br />The compensation due the Consultant for providing the services in this <br />agreement is on an hourly rate basis not -to -exceed $1,230. <br />RE ONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the Board authorize the Chairman to sign the <br />attached Amendment No. 2. <br />Funding is from Account No. 309-215-541-033..13 <br />Public Works Director Jim Davis reported that Indian River <br />Memorial Hospital will pay for the additional turn lane south of <br />Barber Avenue. In order to make the geometrics work on the north <br />side of Barber Avenue, the County will have to widen a portion of <br />10th Court, which is the road into the Medical Services <br />subdivision. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved <br />Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Civil <br />Engineering Agreement with H. F. Lenz Company to <br />provide services on an hourly rate basis for <br />intersection improvements on 10th Court, at a total <br />cost not to exceed $1,230, as recommended by staff. <br />AMENDMENT NO. 2 IS ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />41 <br />�� 19BOOK 90 11 E 816 <br />
