Fr,_ <br />NOV - 2 1993 <br />BOOK Mr, 13 <br />Attorney Vitunac advised that OMB Director Joe Baird would <br />like to request a General Law amendment of Section 192.091, Florida <br />Statutes, which would remove exemption for school boards and <br />municipalities from paying their own commissions to the Tax <br />Collector and Property Appraiser. <br />Director Baird advised that he also would like to request <br />adequate state funding of the court system (witness fees, court <br />costs). <br />Commissioner Eggert wished to see us object to having to use <br />the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council as a mediator. She <br />supported the following: 1) A way to insure larger buses for the <br />transportation disadvantaged; 2) Additional small business <br />administration aid for small counties; and 3) Possible ways for us <br />to reduce the cost of affordable housing. <br />Commissioner Macht wanted to present and objection to the <br />State's unfunded mandates and an objection to the 1 -cent advance <br />charge that recently went -into effect. <br />Commissioner Tippin advised that he would present the <br />following 10 items prioritized by the Treasure Coast Council of <br />Local Governments: <br />SENT BY CITY OF VERO BEACH ;10-27-93 ;11:19AM MAIL ROOM INDIAN RIVER COUNTY 4 1/ 1 <br />7(~RICAS URI C0A6 J"^11' <br />D.
