West of 32nd Avenue, the Florida Power Light franchise area begins.• There <br />are eleven existing street lights between 32nd Avenue and 40th Avenue. <br />The cost to increase the wattage to 250 watts is; 11 lights x <br />$7.43/light/month x 12 months = $980.76/year. <br />The yearly cost to increase lighting in the service area (28th Court to <br />40th Avenue) is $1,489.80. Staff recommends that the request be approved. <br />The first year cost can be funded by the MSTU Contingency Fund. The cost <br />for future years should be charged to the Gifford Street Light District. <br />If the lights are modified on or about January 1, 1994, the cost for FY <br />93/94 will be approximately $1,120. <br />Commissioner Adams noted that this increase will be presented <br />at the budget hearings for public comment. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously authorized <br />expenditure of $1,120 from the MSTU Contingency Fund <br />for increased lighting on Martin Luther King, Jr., <br />Boulevard, as set out in staff's memorandum. <br />PETITION WATER SERVICE IN GREEN ACRES ESTATES (47TH AVENUE S.W., <br />SOUTH OF 9TH STREET S.W..
