JAN 111994 i 1/7/04( doo )Ow RESOLUTION NO. 94- 1 ; A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY SUPPORTING THE EFFORTS OF THE SEBASTIAN INLET TAX DISTRICT TO EXTEND THE CHANNEL FROM THE SEBASTIAN INLET TO THE ATLANTIC INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY. WHEREAS, the Sebastian Inlet Tax District is seeking authority from the state to extend the channel from Sebastian Inlet to the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway; and WHEREAS, such an extension would allow large vessels to enter the waters in Indian River County, and WHEREAS, the entry of said ' vessels would result in a positive economic impact on businesses in Indian River County that provide marine services; and WHEREAS, extension of said channel will result in some removal of seagrass, it will also control the passage of watercraft operating in the area and thus save seagrass beds adjoining the channel and in the general area, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that: The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County hereby supports the application of the Sebastian Inlet Tax District to extend the channel at the Sebastian Inlet to the Altantic Intracoastal Waterway for the reasons given above. It is the Board's firm conviction that the extension is both economically and environmentally sound. The resolution was moved to adoption by Commissioner Eggert and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Ma ch t , and, upon being put:. to a vote, thb vote was as follows: Chairman John W.
