JAN 25 I-q9A BON 91 rA-F <br />ANALYSIS <br />The final amount of the North Roseland Road force main contract is <br />$138,715.72. This equates to a contract reduction of $13,099.38. <br />This reduction is primarily due to changes in design, which resulted <br />in a corresponding quantity reduction. (See attached final pay <br />request and Change Order No. 3.) <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommend that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve Change Order No. 3 and the <br />final pay request as submitted for the North Roseland Road project. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously approved <br />Change Order No. 3 reducing the contract price by <br />$13,099.38, and final payment to Treasure Coast <br />Contracting in the amount of $18,444.07, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 IS ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />ADDITIONAL SLEEVE INSTALLATION ON INDIAN RIVER BOULEVARD PHASE III <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated January 3, 1994: <br />DATE: JANUARY 3, 1994 <br />TO: JAMES E. CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRA' <br />FROM: TERRANCE G. PINT <br />DIRECTOR OF UTI II ERVICES <br />PREPARED WI MCCAIN <br />AND STAFFED IT ROJECTS ENGINEER <br />BY: DEPAR iE OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: ADDITIONAL SLEEVE INSTALLATION ON INDIAN RIVER <br />BOULEVARD, PHASE III <br />BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS <br />As a result of the new paving of several contracts on Indian River <br />Boulevard, the Utilities Department .desires to install steel casings <br />for future utility work on the Boulevard as required by the Utility <br />Master Plan. The cost of having this work done by the Public Works <br />contractor, Dickerson, is in the amount of $10,440.00. This is for <br />the installation of 24 -inch steel casing pipes at both 41st and 45th <br />Streets. We recommend these be installed at this time as future <br />jack and bores at these intersections would be considerably more <br />expensive. A change order for this work will be coming to the Board <br />from Public Works; therefore, at this time, we are merely requesting <br />authorization to transfer these funds from the Utilities impact fee <br />fund to the Public Works contract account. <br />44 <br />
