CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRk <br />FROM: TERRANCE O <br />DIRECTOR OF UT LI VICES <br />PREPARED WILLIAM cCA <br />AND STAFFED CAPI CTS ENGINEER <br />BY: DEP OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: CITGO-GENERAL EQUITIES DEVELOPER'S A� <br />COST ADJUSTMENT <br />BACKGROUND <br />On January 5, 1993, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved a developer's agreement with General <br />Equities, Inc., for the construction of utilities on State Road 60. <br />The construction was for a 12 -inch force main and a 16 -inch water <br />main from the 90th Avenue intersection on State Road 60 to the west <br />edge of the Citgo gas station. As a result of the Master Plan <br />rework that was taking place at the same time, it necessitated that <br />the water main size be increased to 20 inches, with a corresponding <br />price increase, and a material change to DIP in lieu of PVC <br />specified -by the DOT. The engineering cost also has increased due <br />to additional surveying and redesign required by a DOT project that <br />was under way at the same time. <br />24 <br />
