Cox, PXAC <br />Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: , Request for Floodplain Cut and Fill Balance Waiver for Lot 5, Block 14, Vero Lake <br />Estates, Unit No. 2 <br />REFERENCE: Project No. 94010160 <br />DATE: February 7, 1994 CONSENT AGENDA <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />+ John Lloyd Builders has submitted a building permit application for a single family residence on the <br />subject property. The site is located in an AE special flood hazard zone, base flood elevation 22.2 <br />ft. N.G.V.D. In the attached letter from the applicant's engineer dated January 27, 1994, a waiver <br />of the cut and fill balance requirement is requested. The lot area is 1.07 acres. The volume of the <br />100 year floodplain displaced by the proposed grading plan is estimated to be 610 cubic yards. <br />The waiver request has been reviewed by staff and appears to meet the criteria of Section <br />930.07(2)(d)4. of the Stormwater Management and Flood Protection Ordinance for lots located in <br />the Vero Lake Estates Municipal Services Taxing Unit. <br />Alternative No. 1 - Grant the cut and fill balance waiver based on the criteria of Section <br />930.07(2)(d)4. <br />Alternative No. 2 - Deny the cut and fill waiver.
