CHAST <br />AND STAFFED MANAGER OF ASS MENT PROJECTS <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: PHASE II - WATER MAIN EXPANSION GROW'T'H PLAN <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. UW -91 -14 -DS <br />RESOLUTION IV - FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL <br />On December 8, 1992. the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved Resolution III, No. 92-224, for the <br />preliminary assessment roll on the above -referenced project. <br />Construction of the project has been completed. We are now ready to <br />begin customer connections and request the Board of County <br />Commissioners' approval of the final assessment roll (see attached <br />minutes and Resolution III). <br />ANALYSIS <br />The preliminary assessment was for an estimated cost of <br />$1,685,756.24, which equated to $0.118570 per square foot of <br />property assessed. The total cost of the project is $1,548,503.53, <br />less a non -assessed transmission cost of $194,806.85, resulting in a <br />final assessment of $1,353,696.68, which equates to a cost of <br />$0.097828 per square foot of property (see attached Resolution IV <br />and the accompanying assessment roll). Adjustments made at the <br />public hearing on this project on December 8, 1992 reduced the <br />square footage to be assessed from 14,217,424 to 13,837,549, <br />resulting in a reduction to be assessed of 379,875 square feet. <br />RECOMMZNDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the adoption of Resolution IV. <br />32 <br />
