ANTI-DRUG ABUSE GRANT FUNDING CERTIFICATION OF PARTICIPATION - <br />1994-95 FISCAL YEAR <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated April 4, 1994: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: April 4, 1994 <br />SUBJECT: FY 1994/95 ANTI-DRUG ABUSE GRANT FUNDING <br />CERTIFICATION OF PARTICIPATION <br />FROM: Joseph A. Baird(( <br />. OMB Director <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Budget Office received a letter dated March 17, 1994 from the Florida Department of <br />Community Affairs (FDCA) stating that Indian River County has been allocated $130,141 <br />in grant funds for FY 1994/95, to fund local anti-drug abuse projects. The letter also <br />requested the Board to serve as the coordinating unit of government in applying for the <br />funds. The Substance Abuse Advisory Council will be soliciting for and receiving grant <br />applications as well as evaluating those applications and recommending to the Board what <br />projects to fund and their funding levels. The Substance Abuse Advisory Council's <br />recommendations will be brought to the Board for approval in May. The grant's fifth year <br />will continue to be funded 75% from the state and 25% from the county. The budgetary <br />impact on the county will not exceed $50,000. <br />10 <br />r <br />
