8001{ <br />APR 121994 <br />Attorney Vitunac advised that Attorney Bruce Barkett wished to <br />make a preliminary statement. <br />Attorney Bruce Barkett, representing property owners in <br />Sandpointe West Subdivision, understood that the applicant produced <br />a new set of plans just prior to today's meeting, and he was not <br />prepared to argue because he did not see the plans and was not able <br />to confer with his clients. <br />Planning Director Stan Boling understood that the applicant <br />would propose something different from what was presented <br />initially, imposing some limitations on the conceptual plan in <br />terms of setback and building height, and it was staff's intention <br />to allow the applicant to make his presentation. <br />Chairman Tippin announced that the Board would hear the <br />presentation unless there was strong opposition. <br />Commissioner Bird asked whether the applicant was agreeable to <br />postpone the presentation and take the opportunity to work with the <br />property owners and people that have concerns about the plan. <br />Attorney William Stewart, representing St. Edwards School, <br />Inc., stated that his client would like to proceed because the <br />information presented would be useful to the property owners of <br />Sandpointe West. <br />Attorney Vitunac advised that the request for special <br />exception use falls under the new Snyder and James Rule, and all <br />persons who testify must be placed under oath. Staff and members <br />of the audience who planned to address the Board regarding this <br />item stood and were duly sworn by Attorney Vitunac. <br />Director Boling, having been duly sworn, made the following <br />presentation: <br />10 <br />
