BOOK 92 FA;E 9j <br />A P R4 2 1994 <br />_ <br />PROCLAMATION <br />DESIGNATING APRIL 17 TO 23, 1994 <br />AS "NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK" <br />IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,, FLORIDA <br />WHEREAS, today's communities demand more from citizens than <br />ever before; and <br />WHEREAS, volunteers frequently call attention to problems <br />and offer workable solutions to community problems; and <br />- WHEREAS, volunteers in Indian River County are essential to <br />the growth and well-being of Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, volunteers unite diverse groups and interests to <br />work toward resolution of problems and enrich all of our lives; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, volunteers are often the bridge between indif- <br />ference and action; between problem and solution; and <br />WHEREAS, volunteers working together multiply their <br />effectiveness and improve our communities in numerous ways; and <br />WHEREAS, volunteers remind all of us of our moral <br />responsibility to each other and, therefore, make us all better <br />persons; and <br />WHEREAS, volunteers are the life force of our community: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAINED BY THE BOARD "OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that April 17 to <br />23, 1994 be designated as <br />NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK <br />in Indian River County.
