P0OK 92 tAGt 3,9 <br />MAY 0 3 <br />PROCLAMATIONS <br />Chairman Tippin read aloud the following: <br />PROCLAMATION <br />DESIGNATING MAY 9 - 13,1:994 <br />AS <br />TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK <br />WHEREAS, a strong, effective system of free public <br />education for all children and youth is essential to our <br />democratic system of government; and <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County School system has made <br />considerable progress in the social, technological and scientific <br />fields due to our system of free and universal public education; <br />and <br />'WHEREAS, much of this progress can be attributed to the <br />qualified and dedicated teachers entrusted with educational <br />development of our children and their full potentials; and <br />' R <br />WHEREAS, teachers should be accorded high public <br />esteem, reflecting the value that the community places on public <br />education; and. <br />WHEREAS, it is appropriate that teachers be recognized <br />for their dedication and commitment to educating their students: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, B9 IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that the week of <br />May 9 through.May 13, 1994 be designated as <br />TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK <br />J ' <br />in Indian River County, Florida, and the Board urges all citizens <br />,.to pay tribute to our public school teachers. <br />Adopted this 3 day of May, 1994. <br />2 <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />John' -W.
