UW -94 -01 -DS <br />BACKGROUND <br />On April 19, 1994, the Board of County Commissioners approved the <br />subject project and authorized an in-house engineering design to be <br />completed by the staff of the Department of Utility Services. (See <br />attached agenda item.) <br />ANALYSIS <br />Since the surveying cost will exceed $10,000.00 per the Consultant <br />Competitive Negotiation Act, we must negotiate with our No. 1 ranked <br />surveying firm. The staff has completed negotiations with Masteller <br />and Moler and Reed, Inc., for the required survey services. The <br />negotiated fee for these services is $23,000.00. <br />The services consists of surveying the entire project area and <br />delivering the product in the form of a reproducible copy and <br />electronic computer data. The product will be delivered in 90 days <br />after the Notice to Proceed is issued. This fee will be paid from an <br />assessment fund. In the interim, it.will be funded through the impact <br />fee fund. <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends approval of <br />the agreement with Masteller, Mo.ler and Reed, Inc., to survey the <br />subject project in the amount of $23,000.00. <br />MAY 2 4 1994 <br />L_ <br />101 <br />Boa 92 f 1546 <br />
