FACH 643, <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Macht explained that he made <br />the motion to cancel or postpone the project because of the absence <br />of any definitive reports of pollution and in view of what would be <br />a crippling cost to the property owners. <br />Commissioner Adams recalled that we made a commitment to clean <br />up the river, and we should work toward a less expensive method to <br />handle this specific problem. <br />Commissioner Macht agreed and clarified that he did not want <br />to cancel the project but rather defer it for the time being. <br />Commissioner Bird realized that this area needs sewer lines <br />and encouraged staff to continue to look for innovative ways to <br />handle this area.
