Cain, P. <br />County Engineer <br />FROM: David B: Cox, P.E.0C <br />Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Request for Floodplain Cut and Fill Balance Waiver for Lot 5, Block 13, Vero <br />Lake Estates, Unit No. 2 <br />REFERENCE: Project No. 94050161 <br />DATE: June 13, 1994 CONSENT AGENDA <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDMONS <br />Ameron Homes has submitted a building permit application for a single family residence <br />on the subject property. Ile -site is located in an AE special flood hazard zone, base flood <br />elevation 22.2 ft. N.G.V.D. In the attached letter from the applicant's -engineer dated June <br />9, 1994, a waiver of the cut and fill balance requirement is requested. The lot area is 1.07 <br />acres. The volume of the 100 year floodplain displaced by the proposed grading plan is <br />estimated to be 816 cubic yards. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The waiver request has been reviewed by staff and appears to meet the criteria of Section <br />930.07(2)(d)4. of the Stormwater Management and Flood Protection Ordinance for lots <br />located in the Vero Lake Estates Municipal Services Taxing Unit. <br />Alternative No. 1 - Grant the' cut and fill balance waiver based on the criteria of Section <br />930.07(2)(d)4. <br />Alternative No. 2 - Deny the cut and fill waiver.
