n% 92, im40 <br />Commissioner Eggert advised that Director Keating had <br />indicated he was having problems in defining certain zoning <br />districts. In addition, she suggested it might be well to re -check <br />buffer levels because of today's earlier discussion of the <br />DeBartolo mall. <br />Commissioner Bird felt the request too broad and time <br />consuming for staff. <br />Commissioner Macht was concerned that the thrust was to <br />diminish projects in progress and underscored the county's need for <br />the tax dollars and employment those projects would bring. <br />Commissioner Adams had no problem with the current definitions <br />of the CN, CL and CG districts. She suggested any direction to <br />staff must be narrowed. <br />Chairman Tippin preferred that Director Keating bring any <br />problems to the Board as they emerge. <br />Commissioner Eggert wished to see greater clarification of <br />commercial development intensity such as giant car dealers and used <br />car dealers, and to know whether planned retail superstores were, <br />in fact, wholesale establishments. <br />Director Keating believed there were not any problems at the <br />present time. In talking to Commissioner Eggert, he merely said <br />there was no differentiation between districts for the allowance of <br />new car dealerships and used car dealers. He assured the Board <br />that if he encountered any problems, he would bring them forward. <br />He reminded them that the Professional Services Advisory Committee <br />(PSAC) regularly reviews overall codes, and he offered a suggestion <br />for a combined workshop with the BCC, PSAC and Planning & Zoning <br />Commission sometime in September or October. <br />Board members did not favor a workshop and expressed <br />confidence in the professional abilities and discretion of staff. <br />SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT MEETING <br />The Board of County Commissioners adjourned at_1:07 p.m. to <br />meet as the Board of Commissioners of the Solid Waste Disposal <br />District.
