Reatir4, AICD/ <br />Community Development Director <br />FROM: Sasan Rohani, AICP S/z• <br />Chief, Long -Range Planning <br />DATE: July 12, 1994 <br />RE: TRANSPORTATION DISADVANTAGED LOCAL COORDINATING BOARD <br />REVISED BY-LAWS <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their regular <br />meeting of July 26, 1994. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On February 21, 1991, the Transportation Disadvantaged Local <br />Coordinating Board (TDLCB) adopted a set of by-laws, consistent <br />with the "LCB's Operating Guidelines" established by the State <br />Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged on January 10th, <br />1990. <br />On August 20, 1992, the TDLCB revised the by-laws to include new <br />members to the membership list as required by the State Commission <br />for the Transportation Disadvantaged (CTD) and to add a section <br />regarding formation of a Technical Advisory Committee. <br />The membership of the Transportation Disadvantaged Local <br />Coordinating Board must be consistent with the criteria established <br />pursuant to Rule 41-2.012(3), FAC, as revised. Since the <br />Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board's By-laws <br />were revised last in August, 1992, the state has _revised the <br />membership requirements and.added three new members to the TDLCB. <br />These new members must represent the Florida Agency for Health Care <br />Administration, the private transportation industry, and the <br />mass/public transit industry, if applicable. <br />On April 5, 1994, the Board of County Commissioners sitting as the <br />Designated Official Planning Agency approved a membership <br />certification list that includes all of the above referenced <br />changes (copy of the membership certification is attached). The <br />TDLCB by-laws must be revised to reflect the changes to the <br />membership requirements. . <br />At its meeting of July 21, 1994, the TDLCB approved the revised by- <br />laws and directed the staff to forward the by-laws to the Board of <br />County Commissioners (the Designated Official Planning Agency <br />(DOPA) for transportation disadvantaged matters) for review and <br />concurrence prior to submittal to the State Commission for the <br />Transportation Disadvantaged. <br />July 26, 1994 <br />
