8D DN <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />PA106 <br />Authorize staff and the Financial Advisor to further analyze the two Bond Counsel firms <br />and make a recommendation on the one we feel would best' fit the County's needs. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the County's past experience with <br />bond counsel. <br />Attorney Vitunac and Director Baird commented that prior bond <br />counsel, Rhoads & Simon, performed very well in the County's <br />interests for ten years. The selection committee was formed after <br />the Board requested that staff send out request for proposals for <br />Bond Counsel. <br />The Board members agreed that the selection committee <br />performed their task properly. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously authorized <br />staff to further analyze the two bond counsel firms <br />and make a recommendation to the Board. <br />ROUND ISLAND PARK LANDSCAPING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 <br />The Board reviewed memo from Capital Projects Manager Terry <br />Thompson dated July 11, 1994: <br />TO: James E. Thompson, P.E�- <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Round Island Park Landscaping <br />Change Order No. 1 <br />DATE: July 11, 1994 FILE: LAND-CO1.agn <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The bid for landscaping at Round Island Park was awarded to <br />Natureland on June 14, 1994 in the amount of $15,037.78. Funding <br />for this project is from a 1993 Small Business Administration Tree <br />Planting Grant in the amount of -$21,450. <br />The Department of Agriculture has approved of the County planting <br />additional trees to take full advantage of the tree grant amount. <br />The Department of Agriculture is preparing an Amendment to the <br />grant increasing the number of trees from 96 to 172. <br />52 <br />July 26, 1994 <br />
