Collins II - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: July 19, 1994 <br />SUBJECT: Resolution Appointing Value Adjustment Board Members and <br />Providing for Per Diem Compensation for Value Adjustment <br />Board Members <br />Pursuant to Chapter 194, Florida Statutes, the Board is advised to: <br />1. Appoint by Resolution three members of the Board to serve on the <br />Value Adjustment Board for 1994, with the two remaining members <br />designated as alternates. <br />2. Provide by resolution for per diem compensation to - the Value <br />Adjustment Board members. The amount of such compensation is <br />established by statute if both the County Commission and School Board <br />elect to allow such compensation. The School Board has made such an <br />election. Two-fifths of the expenses are borne by the School Board <br />and three-fifths by the County Commission. An appropriate resolution <br />is attached for your approval. <br />Discussion ensued regarding possible dates for the hearings, <br />and Attorney Collins explained that it was important to set the <br />date for the organizational meeting, during which the VAB members <br />could decide on dates for the hearings. <br />The organizational meeting was scheduled for Friday, August <br />12, 1994 at 9:00 a.m. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 94-95 appointing the 1994 Value <br />Adjustment Board members and providing for statutory <br />per diem compensation. <br />r -re <br />July 26, 1994 <br />
