Boot 0,2 eAJ074 <br />APPOINTMENT OF STEVE PATE TO THE PLANNING & ZONING <br />CONIlVIISSION <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously appointed <br />Steve Pate to the Planning & Zoning Commission from <br />District 4. <br />COURTHOUSE ADVISORY COMIVIITTEE RECOMMENDATION FOR <br />OPENING DATE <br />The Board reviewed memo from Commissioner Macht: <br />ADDITION TO THE AGENDA. <br />UNDER KEN MACHT'S MATTERS <br />On July 21, 1994 the Courthouse Advisory Committee passed a <br />motion to request that the opening date for new courthouse be <br />moved to Monday, November 28, 1994. <br />The old courthouse will shut down from Monday November 21 <br />through Wednesday November 23 for the move (November 24 and 25 <br />are holidays for Thanksgiving). The committee felt this would <br />give everyone enough leeway to ensure that the courthouse is <br />complete. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />the opening date of November 28, 1994 for the new <br />courthouse, as recommended by the Courthouse <br />Advisory Committee. <br />UNSIGNED LETTER REGARDING COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENT <br />Commissioner Adams wished to discuss a letter which had been <br />given to her by a Deputy Sheriff. The letter contained comments <br />regarding the salaries of County employees and discussed the <br />Board's intentions regarding raises for employees.
