She also pointed out that <br />the Board's salaries are set by the State, along with the salaries <br />of the constitutional officers. <br />Commissioner Adams asked for a response from Sheriff Wheeler. <br />Sheriff Gary Wheeler responded that he had no knowledge of the <br />letter prior to the meeting and did not know who wrote it. He felt <br />that it was an expression of the frustration of employees who had <br />no other means of expressing their feelings. <br />Commissioner Adams asked, and Sheriff Wheeler responded that <br />he did not authorize the letter, did not condone the letter, and <br />had no knowledge of the letter beforehand, but he understood the <br />author's motivation. <br />Discussion ensued regarding anonymous letters, and <br />Commissioner Macht stated that he does not give credence to <br />anything contained in anonymous letters. <br />Sheriff Wheeler agreed, but believed that this particular <br />letter was written because of frustration. <br />APPOINTMENT OF ADDITIONAL MEMBERS TO PARKS AND <br />RECREATION CO E <br />Commissioner Bird reported that following the Board's <br />direction to add two members to the Parks and Recreation Committee, <br />resumes were received. He preferred to distribute the resumes to <br />all the Board members for consideration at the next regular meeting <br />of the Board. <br />The Board members agreed. <br />There being no further business, on Motion duly made, seconded <br />and carried, the Board adjourned at 10:45 a.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />J.
