aooK 93 F,,1GE 241 <br />Vero Beach City Manager Tom Nason presented the City's <br />position. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Bird being absent) favored approval of <br />an amendment to the Vero Beach Municipal Firemen's <br />Relief and Pension Fund Ordinance which would allow <br />a wider range of investments for the fund assets. <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING COORDINATION OF PURCHASES OF <br />HIGH-TECH EQUIPMENT THROUGH TECHNOLOGICAL TASK <br />FORCE APPOINTED BY THE COUNCIL OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 9/1/94: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Commissioner Kenneth A. Macht <br />DATE: September 1, 1994 <br />RE: Council of Public Officials - <br />Creation of Technological Task Force <br />At the last meeting of the Council of Public Officials, the Council <br />unanimously moved to create a technological task force as a forum for <br />coordinating high-technology purchases by the Council's member: governments. <br />Requested Action: I would like to ask that the Chairman be authorized by the <br />Board of County Commissioners to sign the attached letter to the Council <br />governments asking that the governments authorize their staffs to coordinate <br />their high-technology purchases with the task force. <br />Commissioner Macht explained that --the adoption of the proposed <br />resolution would not imply that the various entities have to do <br />this.
