It is requested that the data <br />consideration by the Board of <br />meeting of September 20, 1994. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />herein presented be given formal <br />County Commissioners its regular <br />Knight. McGuire and Associates, Inc., on behalf of Mr. & Mrs. Ross, <br />has submitted a request for minor site plan approval and special <br />exception use approval to operate a child acre facility at an <br />existing single family residence. The subject site is located at <br />5620 47th Street, and is zoned RS -6 (Single Family Residential up <br />to 6 units per acre). - Special exception use approval must be <br />granted by the county for the proposed child care facility. <br />The applicant has proposed to utilize a designated portion of the <br />residence to provide child day care for up to 15 children. Due to <br />timing constraints of the State HRS permitting procedures, the <br />applicant does not have an active state license application on file <br />with the HRS. Upon special exception use approval, and prior to <br />the issuance of a certificate of occupancy, the applicant will be <br />required to apply for the appropriate HRS child care facility <br />license. <br />The Technical Review Committee has reviewed the submitted proposal <br />and has approved the request for minor site plan approval, subject <br />to the Board of County Commissioners granting approval of the <br />special exception use request. Therefore, the site plan will <br />become effective if and when the Board of County Commissioners <br />grants special exception use approval. . <br />At its June 23, 1994 meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />.voted r.unanimously . to recommend -"that the Board of County <br />Commissioners -conditionally' approve : -the special : -excsption; .use <br />_ �rcommededy. 'the °Manning ant=requesk <br />'Zoning Commission are included in 'staff_s- -recommendation `'found at <br />the end of this report, with the exception of a fencing condition <br />described in item 15 of this report. <br />Pursuant to section 971.05 of the .LDRs, the Board of County <br />Commissioners is now to consider the appropriateness of the <br />requested use based on the submitted site plan and suitability of <br />the site for the requested use. The Board may approve, approve <br />with conditions or deny the special exception use request. The <br />County may attach any conditions and safeguards necessary to <br />mitigate impacts and to ensure compatibility of the use with the <br />surrounding area. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />1.
