and specifications. The Owner and Engineer shall have the authority to judge the quality <br />and require replacement of unacceptable work or personnel at any time. <br />B. All contractors shall cooperate in the execution of their work and shall. plan their work in <br />such manners as to avoid conflicting schedules or delay. of work. If any part of a Con- <br />tractor's work depends upon the work of another Contractor, defects, which may affect <br />that work;'shall be reported to the Engineer in order that prompt inspection may be made <br />and defects corrected. Commencement of work by a Contractor where such condition ex- <br />ists <br />xists will constitute acceptance of the other Contractor's work as being satisfactory in all <br />respects to receive the work commenced, except defects, which may! later develop. <br />Work of all trades under this contract shall be closely coordinated in such a manner as to <br />obtain the best possible workmanship for the entire project. All components of the work <br />shall be installed in accordance with the best practices of the particular trade. The Gen- <br />eral <br />eneral Contractor is responsible to advise the Owner sufficiently in advance of operations to <br />allow for assignment of personnel. <br />C. Materials or methods described by words which, when applied, have a well-known tech- <br />nical or trade meaning will be held to refer to such recognized standard. Standard speci- <br />fications or manufacturer's literature, when referenced, shall be of the latest revision or <br />printing unless otherwise stated, and are intended to establish the minimum requirements <br />acceptable, <br />D. All materials shall be new, all materials and workmanship shall be in every respect in ac- <br />cordance with the best modem practice. <br />E. When special makes or grades of material which are normally packaged by the supplier <br />or manufacturer are specified or accepted, such materials shall be delivered to the site in . <br />original packages or containers with seals unbroken and labels intact and shall not be <br />opened until inspected and approved by the Engineer. Contractor shall notify the Engi- <br />neer prior to such material's delivery. <br />F. The Contractor's Foreman or Superintendent to maintain one complete set of the contract <br />documents and approved submittals on the job site. <br />G. Contractor shall be responsible to correct deficiencies identified by Engineer and non- <br />conforming <br />onconforming work within 24 hours of receipt of notification, either verbally or. written, and <br />submit a plan of action for addressing the deficiencies and non -conforming work. Fur- <br />ther tear -off or commencement of other, work shall not occur until all deficiencies and <br />non -conforming work are properly addressed. <br />H. Installer Qualifications: A firm or individual experienced in installing, erecting, or as- <br />sembling work similar in material, design, and extent to that.indieated for this Project, . <br />whose work has resulted in construction with a record of successful in-service perfor- <br />mance. <br />1. Acceptable Contractor: <br />a. Be certified in writing for a minimum of two years by the roofing mate- <br />rials manufacturer to install the primary roofing products. <br />b. Be recognized in the commercial roofing industry. <br />C. Have a minimum of -five (5) years' experience in installing the same or <br />the same firm name as that, submitting • <br />similar materials specified under <br />the bid. If requested, submit a copy of firm's Articles of Incorporation to <br />verify years in business.
