The <br />Refuge serves as one of the most important sea turtle nesting beaches in the world. We feel the <br />continued monitoring,of this area of beach is highly important to the research of sea turtles and efforts <br />toward their conservation. <br />Our board has budgeted $5000 to assist in funding this critical scientific monitoring program. We will be <br />raising money through our fundraising efforts specifically earmarked for this project. Please note, <br />though we don't foresee it, if we are unable to meet the fundraising goal we are prepared to use reserve <br />funds to cover this cost.
