Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final July 3, 2018 <br />adopted a Resolution directing City staff to apply for the Florida Department of <br />Economic Opportunity Florida Job Growth Grant Fund (DEO Grant) for Public <br />Infrastructure, to help fund improvements to Aviation Boulevard. He posed <br />the idea of including the County's projects on Aviation Boulevard on the grant <br />application, and.asked.if the Board would approve a Resolution supporting the <br />City's Grant Application. <br />Inquiries were raised about the City's.commitment to dedicating necessary <br />rights-of-way, the City's Crossing Maintenance Agreement with the Florida . <br />East Coast Railway at Aviation Boulevard, and on the level of County and staff <br />involvement. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Zorc, seconded.by Vice Chairman Solari, <br />to direct staff to return to the Board with a draft Resolution of support for the <br />City's application to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity_ Florida Job <br />Growth Grant Fund for Public Infrastructure to fund improvements to Aviation <br />Boulevard, with information regarding: (a) the City of Vero: Beach's commitment <br />to contributing City -owned rights-of-way necessary for the proposed <br />improvements to Aviation Boulevard; (b) the City's responsibility for the Crossing <br />Maintenance Agreement at Aviation Boulevard with the Florida East Coast <br />Railway; and. (c) what would the role of County. and staff be. The motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />.Aye: 5- Chairman O'Bryan,.Vice Chairman Solari, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Flescher, and Commissioner Zorc <br />15.
