Follow panel manufacturer's directions for horizontal installation. <br /> 2. Lap panels away from prevailing wind direction. <br /> 3. Do not stretch or compress panel side-laps. <br /> 4. Secure panels without warp or deflection. <br /> 5. Clean and dry surfaces prior to applying sealant. <br /> 6. Exposed fasteners are not allowed,except to fasten flashings,at fixed points,or as <br /> indicated on Drawings. <br /> 7. Field apply sealant to penetrations, transitions, and other locations necessary to <br /> prevent water infiltration. <br /> B. Cutting and Fitting: <br /> 1. Neat, square and true. Torch cutting, electric saws and grinders with abrasive <br /> wheels are prohibited where cut is exposed to final view. <br /> 2. Openings 6 inches (153 mm) and larger in any direction: Shop fabricate and <br /> reinforce to maintain original load capacity. <br /> 3. Where necessary to saw-cut panels,debur cut edges. <br /> C. Dissimilar Metals: <br /> 1. Where sheet metal is in contact with dissimilar metals,execute juncture to facilitate <br /> drainage and minimize possibility of galvanic action. <br /> 2. At point of contact with dissimilar metal, coat metal with protective paint or tape <br /> which can be placed between metals. <br /> 3.03 PROTECTION <br /> A.
