RESOLUTION NO. 2018- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />REQUESTING ASSISTANCE FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDA <br />BEACH EROSION CONTROL PROGRAM - FY 2019/20 <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has experienced damage to structures and/or coastal <br />lands by beach erosion in areas of public lands; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has established a Beach Preservation Plan and a Beach <br />Preservation Fund to provide strategy and funding for beach restoration activities; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida has established a Beach Erosion Control Program for <br />providing financial assistance for erosion control and preservation of the beaches within the State. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, as follows: <br />1. The County hereby requests State financial assistance for implementation of <br />coastal erosion control improvements within Indian River County. <br />2. The County hereby designates James D. Gray, Jr., Natural Resources Manager <br />for Indian River County, as the Project Manager and Agent on behalf of the County. <br />THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Commissioner <br />seconded by Commissioner , and, being put to a vote was as follows: <br />Chairman, Peter D.
