How do the programs <br />tnose orrerea ov otner <br />Besides the IRMC emergency department, there is no other program in Indian River County that <br />provides urgent mental health screening, risk assessment, and crisis intervention services, to Indian <br />River County residents regardless of ability to pay. Clients who are seen for screening on a walk-in basis <br />at the Mental Health Association Walk -In Center, who prefer to have ongoing services at another mental <br />health agency and are able to afford it, are referred out to the agency of their choice. <br />The Mental Health Association in Indian River County's participation in several mental health related <br />community groups keeps staff abreast of services available to benefit our clients and also ensures <br />programs are not duplicative. The most critical of these groups is the Mental Health Collaborative in <br />Indian River County whose main purpose is to encourage collaboration among mental health agencies <br />and discourage duplication of services. <br />The Mental Health Association in Indian River County strives to overcome the stigma of mental illness by <br />building awareness and knowledge among everyone in the community through community outreach. <br />5. Be specific in indicating the number of <br />paid professional positions and paid support staff positions. <br />Current Staffing for the Mental Health Association including both the Walk -In Center and three Drop -In <br />Center are: <br />General Administrative Staff: <br />Executive Director/Psychologist, 40 hours per week.
