SECTION 0177 00 <br />CLOSEOUT PROCEDURES <br />PART GENERAL <br />1.01 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A. This Section includes administrative and procedural requirements for contract closeout, <br />including, but not limited to, the following: <br />1. Inspection Procedures. <br />2. Project Record Documents. <br />3. Warranties. <br />1.02 SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION <br />A. The Contractor shall submit written certification to the Engineer that the Project is sub- <br />stantially complete along with the following: <br />1. Prepare a list of items to be completed and corrected (Contractor's punch list), <br />the value of items on the list, and reasons why the Work is not complete. <br />2. Advise Owner of pending insurance changeover requirements. <br />3. Obtain and submit releases permitting Owner unrestricted use of the Work and <br />access to services and utilities. Include occupancy permits, operating certificates, <br />and similar releases. <br />4. Terminate and remove temporary facilities from Project site, along with <br />mockups, construction tools, and similar elements. <br />5. Advise Owner of changeover in heat and other utilities. <br />6. Submit changeover information related to Owner's occupancy, use, operation, <br />and maintenance. <br />7. Complete final cleaning requirements, including touchup painting. <br />8. Touch up and otherwise repair and restore marred exposed finishes to eliminate <br />visual defects. <br />B. Substantial Completion Inspection: On receipt of written substantial completion certifi- <br />cation, the Engineer will make a substantial completion inspection within seven (7) days <br />after receipt of certification. <br />1. Should the Engineer consider the Work not substantially complete, he will im- <br />mediately notify the Contractor, in writing, stating the reasons. The Contractor <br />shall complete the Work and send a second written notice to the Engineer, certi- <br />fying the Project is substantially complete, at which time the Engineer will re- <br />inspect the work. <br />2. Should the Engineer consider the Work substantially complete, Engineer will no- <br />tify Owner and include a list of items to be completed or corrected (Punch List). <br />3. A punch list of items will be prepared for correction and completion before the <br />Final Inspection. The Contractor shall complete the punch list items within fif- <br />teen (15) days of the punch list inspection. If the Contractor fails to complete the <br />punch list within this period, the Owner will have the right to impose liquidated <br />damages in the amount of nine hundred fifty six ($956.00) dollars for each con- <br />secutive day until all of the items are completed. <br />1.03 FINAL COMPLETION <br />Indian River County West WWTP <br />Roof Replacement 01 7700-1 Closeout Procedures <br />
