A. Preliminary Procedures: Before requesting final inspection for determining date of Final <br />Completion, complete the following: <br />I . Submit signed copy of Engineer's inspection list of items to be completed or cor- <br />rected (punch list). The certified copy of the list shall state that each item has <br />been completed or otherwise resolved for acceptance. <br />2. Submit evidence of fastener pull tests to building department for archival. <br />3. Submit evidence of final, continuing insurance coverage complying with insur- <br />ance requirements. <br />4. Instruct Owner's personnel in operation, adjustment, and maintenance of prod- <br />ucts, equipment, and systems. <br />B. Final Inspection: The submission of the signed punch list constitutes as written request <br />for final inspection for acceptance. On receipt of request, Engineer along with the Own- <br />er's Representative will conduct a final inspection within seven (7) days of receipt of cer- <br />tification. <br />1. Should the Engineer consider that the Work is finally complete in accordance <br />with requirements of the Contract Documents, he will request the Contractor to <br />make Project Closeout Submittals. <br />2. Should the Engineer consider that the Work is not finally complete, he will notify <br />the Contractor, in writing, stating the reasons. <br />3. The Contractor shall take immediate steps to remedy the stated deficiencies, and <br />send a second written notice to the Engineer certifying that the Work is complete, <br />at which time the Engineer will re -inspect the Work. <br />1.04 PROJECT RECORD DOCUMENTS <br />A. General: Do not use Project Record Documents for construction purposes. Protect Pro- <br />ject Record Documents from deterioration and loss. Provide access to Project Record <br />Documents for Engineer's reference during normal working hours. <br />The Contractor shall submit all required record documents and warranties within <br />thirty (30) days of the punch list inspection. If the Contractor fails to properly <br />submit all required items within this period, the Owner will have the right to im- <br />pose liquidated damages in the amount of nine hundred fifty six ($956.00) dollars <br />for each consecutive day until all of the items are properly submitted. <br />B. Record Drawings: Maintain and submit one set of blue- or black -line white prints of <br />Contract Drawings and Shop Drawings. <br />Mark Record Prints to show the actual installation where installation varies from <br />that shown originally. Require individual or entity who obtained record data, <br />whether individual or entity is Installer, subcontractor, or similar entity, to pre- <br />pare the marked -up Record Prints. <br />a. Give particular attention to information on concealed elements that can- <br />not be readily identified and recorded later. <br />b. Record data as soon as possible after obtaining it. Record and check the <br />markup before enclosing concealed installations. <br />2. Mark record sets with erasable, red -colored pencil. Use other colors to distin- <br />guish between changes for different categories of the Work at the same location. <br />3.
