Indian River County
Purchasing Division
180027 th Street
Vero Beach, FL 32960
Phone (772) 226-1416
ADDENDUM NO. I
Date: July 30, 2018
Project Name: Atlantic Boulevard Parking Facilities SR60 & 43rd Avenue
(IRC -1719)
Bid Number: 2018070
Bid Opening Date: Wednesday, August 08, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
This addendum is released to provide clarification and plans update. All information provided herein is hereby
incorporated into the bid documents.
1. The parking stalls I assume are 6" thermo per the bid sheet, but I don't see line items for the handicap stalls
and concrete wheel stops. Correct. The line item 711-11-121 refers to the typical stall striping requirement.
Civil sheet C3 has been revised to include line item(s) for the handicap striping and concrete wheel stops.
2. The excavation line item seems low. There is some excavation for the new stabilization and road base and
also for the sidewalk with stabilization. Should it be checked and revised if needed orjust dealt with during
construction? An additional analysis of the original provided excavation quantity has been performed and
a revised value has been denoted on the revised civil sheet C3.
t.
3. Will all the existing base rock need to be removed in the new green areas? If so, is that under the excavation
or clearing/grubbing? Then I assume embankment would be for import fill to replace. Yes, the removal of
the road base in area of plantings will be required and should be covered under line item 120-1.
4. The stabilization for the sidewalk, I don't see a line item so is it to be included in sidewalk unit price?
Correct.
5. There are details for Bollards and Root Barrier but I don't see any on the plan, can you please clarify if and
where they are needed? For bollard clarification, please see sheet C7. Bollards are proposed along the
service drive at the eastern face of the "Flamingo Laundry" facility and western face of "Uncle Sam's"
establishment. The root barrier is for all existing species present along the sidewalk installation route of
42nd Avenue. For Clarification, civil sheet C5 has been revised to denote the location of the required root
barrier.
F:\Public Works\ENGINEERING DIVISION PROJECTS\1719 Atlantic Blvd Parkng Area Project\1-Admin\Bid Documents\Addendums\Bid2018070_IRC-
1719_ADDEN01_20180730.docx
