Florida Department of Environmental Protection <br />Beach Management Funding Assistance Program <br />Guidance Document for FY 2018-19 Hurricane Irma <br />Supplemental Funding Requests <br />The Florida Legislature appropriated $11,198,282 to assist counties with sand replacement associated <br />with beach erosion losses from Hurricane Irma. The legislation provided this funding as a match to <br />federal funds, or otherwise up to 50 percent of beach and dune restoration costs, where federal <br />assistance is not provided. Counties must submit a written request for funding and a scope of work for <br />the proposed post -Irma storm recovery projects.
