Florida Department of Environmental Protection Beach Management Funding Assistance Program Guidance Document for FY 2018-19 Hurricane Irma Supplemental Funding Requests The Florida Legislature appropriated $11,198,282 to assist counties with sand replacement associated with beach erosion losses from Hurricane Irma. The legislation provided this funding as a match to federal funds, or otherwise up to 50 percent of beach and dune restoration costs, where federal assistance is not provided. Counties must submit a written request for funding and a scope of work for the proposed post -Irma storm recovery projects. In addition, applicants are requested to provide information as outlined in this guidance document for the assessment of funding requests. Applications are due by October 1, 2018.
