COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR NIATTERS <br />11.A. 18-2272 City of Vero Beach Property adjacent to Historic Dodgertown <br />Recommended Action: Staff requests direction from the Board for staff to take the actions outlined above <br />in preparation to present our offer to the City Council at their meeting on October 2, <br />2018. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Chairman O'Bryan delivered a summary regarding the Special Call Meeting, held <br />on September 4, 2018, recalling that the Board voted in favor of making a $2.4 <br />million offer to the City of Vero Beach in an attempt to purchase the 35 acre parcel <br />of land, known as Dodgertown Golf Course. He explained that he and County <br />Administrator Jason Brown gave a presentation at the Vero Beach City Council <br />Meeting later that day to outline the County's offer, and that a decision would be <br />made at the City's next Council Meeting on October 2, 2018, noting that the County <br />would be refining their offers prior to attending. <br />Indian River County Florida Page 18 <br />
