Gentile, C.E.T. <br />Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Public Hearing for the Surveying Improvements for Pine Lake Estates an <br />Unrecorded Subdivision <br />DATE: November 7, 1994 <br />On October 25, 1994, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 94-135 <br />providing for certain surveying improvements to Pine Lake Estates an unrecorded subdivision. As <br />part of the effort to provide appropriate access to the lots in the unrecorded Pine Lake Estates <br />Subdivision, so that building permits may be legally issued for this subdivision <br />�the county agreed <br />to have certain tracts surveyed for use as right-of-way in the subdivision. <br />This was a Public Works Department initiated public improvement assessment in cooperation with <br />the property owners in the Pine Lake Estates area. <br />On October 25, 1994, the Board of County Commissioners adopted another Resolution 94-136 <br />setting the date and time for a Public Hearing to discuss the advisability, cost and amount of the <br />assessment against each property owner. This hearing is scheduled for November 15, 1994. <br />Staff recommends approval of the assessment roll, and confirming resolution with changes, if any, <br />made after input at the November 15, 1994 Public Hearing. Revised confirming resolution and <br />assessment roll will -be forwarded to the Chairman of the Board for signature. The Assessment Roll <br />and assessment plat are on file with the Clerk to the Board of the County Commissioner's office. <br />Mr. Cain reported that he recently met with several property <br />owners, responded to their questions, and discussed alternatives to <br />improve their roadways and drainage. He wanted to continue to work <br />with the residents on alternatives, with cost containment in mind, <br />and bring the ideas to the Board at a later date. <br />Commissioner Adams complimented staff and explained to those <br />in attendance that this was just a first step in the process. <br />19 <br />November 15, 1994 BOOK UJ <br />PAuk 1 <br />
