Sector 3 Beach Restoration <br />December 4, 2018 <br />FUNDING <br />Local funding of Beach Restoration includes a portion of Local Option Tourist Tax Revenue as well <br />as allocation of the One Cent Sales Tax. Funding for the pre -construction monitoring in the <br />amount of $150,613.60 is budgeted and available for the Sector 3 Beach Restoration Project in <br />the Beach Restoration Fund, Hurricane Matthew Account - Sector 3, No. 12814472-066514- <br />17001. <br />With the issuance of FEMA Project Worksheet (No. IRGAG01— Hurricane Matthew, FEMA 4283 - <br />DR -FL), project related design, permitting, and construction expenses are eligible for up to 87.5% <br />in Federal and State cost share. FEMA funds are currently in que to be obligated. <br />Additionally, the County entered into grant Agreement No. 171112 with Florida Department of <br />Environmental Protection on February 26, 2018, amended by the State on June 22, 2018, which <br />committed up to $893,102.60 at a 50% cost share ratio for the Sector 3 project area damaged by <br />Hurricane Matthew (2016) and Irma (2017). <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The recommendation of staff is for the Board to approve Work Order No. 2018006-4 to the <br />contract with Aptim Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc. and authorize the Chairman to sign on <br />behalf of the County. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />Aptim Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc.
